PSD Students Named Finalists in "Design-a-Fish" Contest!

We are thrilled to announce that three of our talented students have been selected as finalists in Long Live the Kings' "Design-a-Fish" contest! Their creative designs were chosen from over 1,000 entries, making it to the top 16 finalists who will compete for a chance to be featured in the 2025 Survive the Sound migration.
Congratulations to Scarlett K. and VinaRae F. from Goodman Middle School, and Charlie M. from Artondale Elementary.

What's Next?
Starting Monday, June 18th, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite fish designs through a bracket-style competition. The voting will take place daily on Long Live the Kings' Instagram Stories (@longlive.kings) from June 18th through August 31.

The winning design will be adapted by a professional illustrator while staying true to the student's original vision, becoming part of the iconic Survive the Sound program that helps track and promote salmon conservation in the Pacific Northwest.
