Communities In Schools Lakewood has launched its first program outside of the Clover Park School District at Ford Middle School, and the impact has been powerful.

With a strong focus on supporting students and families, the program provides both school wide services and targeted Tier 3 supports for students who benefit from individualized attention.

Led by dedicated site coordinators Alyssa Murphy and Goreti Davila, the program helps students succeed by addressing key areas such as academics, attendance, and behavior. Students quickly connected with Alyssa and Goreti, who are known for their care, consistency, and ability to build strong relationships.

The program celebrates students’ cultures, recognizes their value and worth, and connects families with the resources they need to navigate challenges and find success. Through strong partnerships with the community, new opportunities are opening up every day. We’re excited that this impactful program will expand to Franklin Pierce High School next year.
